October 15, 2009 marked the 8th anniversary of Fit Happens Personal Training and Fitness Studio. From the beginning, the business has strived to provide a unique fitness experience amid a friendly and judgment-free atmosphere. No matter what age or fitness level, you will find something to interest you.
Fit Happens is the premier fitness center in the area boasting 4 workout areas, complete with personal trainers to guide you to your fitness goals. Each workout room was specifically designed with its own unique area separate from the rest of the gym, providing members with superior space and privacy.
The general gym can accommodate members of any age or physical condition. There are pin setting machines, free weights and dumbbells. This equipment can be used to perform a variety of workouts from body building to muscle toning.
There is also a 15-piece circuit area. This part of the gym contains pin setting machines which can be used for a complete total body workout. There is a stretching area used for warm ups, cool downs or abdominal work.
A third area of the gym boasts a world class cardio theater filled with treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes and other cardiovascular equipment. The main attraction of the Cardio Theater is the 16 x 10 foot, larger than life, big screen TV complete with Dolby Digital surround sound for the members’ viewing and listening pleasure while they work out.
Fit Happens is the only gym in the Upstate New York area to offer a Women’s Only Room, designed for and used exclusively by women. It is a complete gym in itself, housing pin setting machines, free weights and dumbbells.
For those who prefer to change it up, we offer over 200 aerobics classes each month, ranging from low impact stretching and yoga to high intensity boot camp and total knockout. Our Spinning classes, complete with special lightning and motivating music, are a favorite among members. Tanning is also available for a nominal fee or added to a membership at a special discount.
We have now merged with the Jewish Community Center on Fulton St in Gloversville to provide our members with the additional amenities of a heated pool, sauna and full-sized gym. Members of Fit Happens are offered these extras at no additional charge.
